Pictured above is Tony with his friend and mentor Vidal Sassoon.Also pictured above is my friend and mentor Robert Edele, posing on the beach in Caifornia. Robert was one of the original Sassooners, who started with Vidal in the late 1950's. He was the first teacher for Sassoon in London. He also brought me to the USA to begin my amazing whirlwind career introducing the Sassoon method of hair cutting to the USA. Robert spear-headed the opening of the Sassoon Academies in America in the early 70's. Robert & Vidal both started in the hair business together when they were kids (many moons ago). They're still close friends, and I'm so proud to have Robert as my close friend too.
In this picture (above), Robert is showing off his 75 year old body, which he works out on daily basis at his home in California. Robert and his wife Jan (who was the original Sassoon head receptionist in Bond Street, London) live with their son Sacha in Point Hueneme, California.
